Kathryn and her husband, Chris, joined St. Mary’s a few years ago after long admiring its peaceful setting and experiencing firsthand the warmth and kindness of the parishioners. They feel blessed to be part of such a wonderful community. Kathryn has found the many opportunities to get involved at St. Mary’s a great way to meet people. She participates in outreach, pastoral care, Eldergarten, and the welcomers’ committee, and served on the discernment committee that called our new rector.

Despite growing up in South Carolina, Kathryn considers Virginia her true home. She attended Washington & Lee University and, after many years living in Chicago working in advertising, she found her way to Richmond where she has happily lived for almost 18 years. When not at St. Mary’s, Kathryn enjoys spending time with family, friends, her three crazy rescue dogs, traveling, and cooking.
