On Sunday, April 3 at 4:30 p.m., St. Mary’s will offer a Lenten service of Choral Evensong for the Order of St. John of Jerusalem and in support of their charitable work with the sick. Repertoire will include works by Thomas Tallis, H. Balfour Gardiner, Roman, and Ryan Tibbetts. A prelude recital at 4 p.m. will feature music of Sweelinck, Bach, and Smyth. The St. Mary’s Choir offers a service of Choral Evensong. Repertoire includes works by Herbert Murrill, Thomas Tallis, David Ashley White, and Ryan Tibbetts. At 4 p.m., organist Ryan Tibbetts and oboist Dr. Sarah Huebsch Schilling will play a prelude recital featuring works by J.S. Bach, Johann Ludwig Krebs, and Naji Hakim. Repertoire includes the “St. Paul’s” Magnificat and Nunc dimittis by Herbert Howells, Preces and Responses by Thomas Tallis, and music by Felix Mendelssohn and Mark Templeton.
