Life is like a Blueprint

Weekly Reflection, Sunday, May 13, 2018

Life is like a blueprint, God knows where we will end up, but we need to take the right path to get there.

To those who don’t know where I am attending high school this fall, I am going to Trinity Episcopal School. I will be leaving all of my friends that I have gone to school with for my whole life. They have supported me, they have held me up, and they have shaped me as a person. I will be leaving all of that behind.

When I walk through the doors at Trinity on the first day of school, I am going to feel alone. In life, you are going to have those first-day-of-school moments, or a time in your life where you will feel alone. You should never feel alone because God is with us. God is with us, whenever we need him. My favorite line from communion is, “He stretched out his arms upon the cross, and offered himself in obedience to your will, a perfect sacrifice for the whole world.” Think about this for a second. What does this mean to YOU? God sent his only son, Jesus, down from heaven to sacrifice himself for US to live.

So when I walk through those doors at Trinity on August 14th, I won’t feel alone. I see God through my friends and even though they won’t be with me physically, they will be with me through God. Who do you see God in? What is your blueprint and what path will you choose?
