Program: Dr. David A. Brat, Chair, Departmnet of Economics and Business, Randolph-Macon College. "A Flat World and Flat Test Scores and a Flat Economy: Can the Church Inspire and Inflate Low Expectations?" Thomas Friedman's best seller The Word Is Flat, asserts that globalization is changing every aspect of modern life, closing the distance betwwen the U.S. and other countries and cultures. St. Mary's parishioner, Professor David Brat will discuss where the world is headed and how Americans can keep pace. Goochland Food Pantry Bins
in Both Narthexes

Last Sunday, the Confirmation Class and other parishioners donated 610 pounds of food! The Food Pantry at Goochland Free Clinic & Family Services still needs the following foods: Canned goods: meat, poultry, stew, baked beans, fruit, tomatoes, spaghetti sauce, chili, ravioli; Boxed foods: Spaghetti, corn muffin mix, dried potatoes, cereal, instant oatmeal; and peanut butter.
