Children's Choirs
We believe everyone has something to offer at St. Mary’s, including our young parishioners. Under the direction of Assistant Choir Director Beth Stephens, the Children’s Choirs at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church provide musical offerings throughout the church year at monthly Children’s Chapels, All Saints Days, Christmas, Palm Sunday, Easter, Youth Sundays and more.
We introduce choristers to good singing technique and music fundamentals, integrating music with our Sunday School curriculum and having fun along the way. Children of all abilities are encouraged to try choir, and you do not need to commit for the entire year. Rehearsals are Wednesday afternoons; everybody’s welcome!
Chapel Choir
For Junior Kindergartners through Grade 2, the Chapel Choir gets choristers started on the right note. We introduce the basics of music, exploring rhythm, dynamics, tempo and solfege, and discover how music fits into worship. More than anything, we enjoy each other’s fellowship in a fun and supportive musical environment. Chapel Choristers lead the music at our monthly Children’s Chapels, sing at Youth Sunday services, and play a leading role at the Christmas Eve Service of Lessons and Carols.

Treble Choir
Children grades 3 and up are encouraged to join our Treble Choir. No auditions or musical training required. Musical principles are reinforced in the context of learning a variety of liturgical music, from classical to contemporary. Treble Choristers develop their singing technique throughout the year, work on ensemble singing, and get to know the Hymnal up close and personal. The Treble Choir sings at Youth Sundays, the Children’s Service of Lessons & Carols, and periodically throughout the year with the Adult Choir.
