Adult Choir

The St. Mary’s Adult Choir began in 1993 as a chorus of women’s voices directed by Marguerite Miller, parish organist from 1974 until 1998.  With the inclusion of male singers in 1995, the Adult Choir was led by choirmaster Bryan Stevenson from 1995 to 1997, and later by Hope Armstrong Erb (1997–2003).  W. Dwight Graham has been the organist and choirmaster since 2003.

The Adult Choir prepares a wide variety of traditional anthems and service music in the Anglican style for the 11:00 am worship services each week.  Highlights of the choir season include the Service of Lessons and Carols during Advent, following the traditions set by the King’s College Choir in Cambridge, England, and a service of choral morning prayer in the spring. Choristers range in age from high school student to senior adult.

Rehearsals are on Thursday nights from 7:30-9:30 and on Sunday mornings at 10:00.  Interested singers should contact Mr. Graham at church (784-5678 ext. 14).
